Our Supported Interns in their own words
Introducing three of our Supported Interns: Reggie, Victoria and Vincenzo who are all on this year’s course hosted by Achieving for Children (AfC) Kingston.
Reggie is doing his work placement at the AfC’s SEN Transport Hub in New Malden and Victoria is working in the Royal Borough of Kingston’s Transformation team in the Guildhall. Vincenzo is working at Anstee Bridge, an alternative creative programme for young people who are struggling with their social, emotional and mental health. The students are supported by Job Coaches and are also working towards gaining additional qualifications under the supervision of a College lecturer

Orchard Hill College runs DFN Project SEARCH Supported Internships designed to help young people aged 17-24 with an EHCP move confidently into employment. They are now recruiting for September 2026 and are hosting online information events for young people and their families who want to find out more.
The next event is on Wednesday 25 February 2026
🕑 2–3pm or 🕔 5–6pm
and it will cover
• What a supported internship actually is
• Who it’s for
• How it helps build confidence, skills and employability
• What happens next if you want to apply
