Last week, student Asiya from Wyvern House attended an interview a local charity shop. She met all the staff and had a tour of the facilities, she then discussed what types of jobs she would be completing and expressed that she would like to start sorting items to gain confidence. Asiya was engaged, confident and enthusiastic about the opportunity. Once back at college Asiya was eager to tell staff about how successful her morning was and how excited she was to start her work placement.
Asiya has also secured another work placement at a hairdressing salon in Uxbridge, an aspiration she had since starting her course. Asiya met her manager confidently and professionally. Mary, the manager, was so impressed by Asiya’s work that she can see her becoming an official member of the salon team!
Well done, Asiya!
