A visit from the Department for Education

Students and staff were thrilled to welcome Sarah Innes from the Commissioning Unit at the Department for Education this week. Sarah was greeted at VPC in Carshalton, by students, Annie and Jeanet who gave Sarah a tour of the College, along with Kelly Phillips, the Principal. Sarah was able to visit some exciting and engaging lessons and to see the College in action.

Sarah and Kelly were then joined by John Prior, CEO of Orchard Hill College and Academy Trust, to meet and discuss future partnership working around commissioning.

Sarah commented; “Spending the morning at Orchard Hill College has left a huge impression on me. The work you are doing for these young people is incredible and although I was only with yourselves for a short time, I could feel the positive ethos, care and warmth of Orchard Hill College, there is a real sense of community.”
