Student retention

In 2021/22, 414 students were enrolled with an overall retention rate of 97%. 284 students were enrolled on the Foundation Skills for Life and Skills for Work and Living courses. All achieved an outcome ranging from employment including voluntary work, independent living, good health and friends and relationships in the community.

  • 12 apprentices including 4 inclusive apprentices completed their apprenticeship and 92% are in employment and are continuing to make good progress.
  • 40% of WorkStart students are progressing to employment, 2% to a traineeship and 55% to a higher level course at Orchard Hill College or other colleges.

In 2021-22 are achievement rates were:

  • 78.9% achievement rate for all education and Training, which includes employability awards and Functional skills exams
  • 95.6% achievement rate for all employability awards taken
  • 100% achievement of apprenticeships – 5 completed and achieved customer service practitioner and 4 completed and achieved Teaching Assistant Level 3
