The College held their Annual Christmas Card Competition this year. After much deliberation and hours of independent judging, local artist Louise Pasquill chose the winners. First place went to May from Lomond House in Southwark. Louise commented on May’s entry: “This beautiful snow globe is such an original design and is bursting with Christmas cheer. The design has a foreground, middle ground and background as well as reflections on the glass encompassing the composition. Like a Christmas bubble full of snowflakes. Very well done”.
Second place went to Jessie from Garratt House in Sutton. Louise commented: “This festive elf is dressed for a very special occasion. The Christmas Elf is ready to help Santa load up his sleigh with presents to deliver. This fun character is certain to spread Christmas cheer to everyone, with such a happy smile. Well done on your winning design”. Finally, third place went to Christopher from Lomond House in Southwark.
Louise’s appraisal of Christopher’s work was as follows: “This vivid digital artwork is full of Christmas spirit. Hello Santa! He looks delighted with his twinkling tree, with its golden star glowing on the top. There are many details that bring this design to life, including the shape of the hat, the tree branches and Santa’s beltbuckle. Great design, well done”.
Thank you to all the students who took part in the competition.
