Building Futures, Changing Lives…

Since joining Orchard Hill College, student Evie has dived right in and got involved at every opportunity. She is Student Ambassador for her centre, and has made a difference to many students’ lives already. She visited the Mayor’s office last year to speak about how Hillingdon can be more accessible for young people with special needs. She is also the Safeguarding Ambassador for the college so will meet once a month with other Student Ambassadors and the Safeguarding Lead, Kirsty Cottrell, to discuss keeping students safe both inside and outside of college.

Earlier this year, Evie received a nomination for a COSLP Award for her hard work and dedication at college. She was thrilled to attend the ceremony and gave an amazing speech. Caroline, Senior Teaching Aide, said; ‘It was an amazing day and we are all really proud of Evie and all she has achieved. She is an excellent ambassador for Orchard Hill College and we were thrilled to share the day with her.’

Evie said, “Orchard Hill College has changed my life. I cannot thank everyone enough; attending college is so inspirational to me. The teaching staff are truly amazing, I love coming into college and they are the reason why!”

Evie is just one great example of how Orchard Hill College really can build futures, change lives!

As a result of outstanding teaching, over time students make excellent progress and develop the knowledge and skills they need to achieve their goals.
