Celebrating Success at the South London Best Learner and Teacher Awards
Two of our exceptional students, Olivia and Emily, were honoured for their outstanding progress and achievements at college. This recognition is a testament to their hard work, resilience, and commitment to personal growth.
Olivia’s journey has been truly inspiring. She has exceeded expectations and we are immensely proud that she has secured paid employment as a Nursery Assistant. During her time at college, Olivia created her own platform to raise awareness of Neurodiversity. She has passionately shared her views on improving the EHCP process for young people with SEND, and her insights have been invaluable in training our staff and contributing to external forums.
Emily was also recognised for her remarkable achievements. She has shown incredible growth, particularly in public speaking, and has represented the college at events across the borough and at Roehampton University. Her advocacy for young people with learning disabilities is deeply inspiring. Emily’s dedication has led her to secure a role as a Support Assistant in a local school. She has also worked tirelessly to earn her Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards and is now ambitiously pursuing her Gold Award.
In addition to our students, we were proud to see two of our dedicated staff members receive awards for their ongoing commitment to student success. Congratulations to Nathan Brown and Susan Boardman for their well-deserved recognition.
This event was a wonderful celebration of our students’ achievements and our staff’s dedication.
