Christmas in the Community: Southwark

By Adrian Notter - December 20th, 2018 | Posted in News

Our Christmas in the Community events continued with another brilliant event on Monday in Southwark. The students at Lomond House and our Vocational Centre caused a stir outside Camberwell Library with their performance to some of your favourite Christmas classics, as well as giving us mince pies and non-alcoholic mulled wine to members of the general public.

There was a large crowd gathered by the end, students managed to catch the attention of everyone who was walking by, and were even taking on requests! One class had learnt a Christmas favourite “All I Want For Christmas” by Mariah Carey in Makaton.

The event was a great success and certainly something we will be doing again next year!

Head of Centre Kerry said “Well done to all the staff and students at Lomond House and Nightingale. And big thank you to Camberwell Library for having us!”
