Christmas in the Community – Southwark

Our Christmas in the Community events continued with another brilliant event on Monday in Southwark. We had The Worshipful the Mayor of Southwark, Councillor Charlie Smith, who was great and got really involved, chatting to all the students, singing along to all the songs and even helping to hand out song lyrics!

There was a lively sing along and one class had learnt a Christmas favourite “All I Want For Christmas” by Mariah Carey in Makaton.

The event caught the attention of everyone who was walking past and they all stopped to watch or get involved in some way! A great success!

Head of Centre Kerry said “Well done to all the staff and students at Lomond House!”

Outcomes for learners are outstanding, teaching, learning and assessment are excellent and the extremely diverse programmes that meet learners’ individual needs, interests and aspirations, prepare them very well for life after College.
