Contributing to the local community

Gabriel, a student from Lomond House has been working hard towards his employment targets. He has spent a lot of time working with the Caretaker at the centre by gritting the college ramp and surrounding areas around the college, which can become very slippery.

Fahim, another student from Lomond House decided he would like to help his fellow peer by gritting the pavements in the college garden, while he was on his therapeutic walk.

James, Lecturer at Lomond said “Gabriel has done some amazing work and we are really proud of him. It was apparent how he had helped the local community as people passing by were walking along the clear path and thanking him. I could see what a positive effect this had on Gabriel and how happy he was after this task.”

As a result of outstanding teaching, over time students make excellent progress and develop the knowledge and skills they need to achieve their goals.
