Empowering voices: Student Safeguarding Ambassadors training day

Our Student Safeguarding Ambassadors from schools and college across the Orchard Hill College & Academy Trust came together at Sutton Life Centre for a dedicated safeguarding training session led by our Director of Safeguarding and Well-being, Jackie Van-West.

As part of the session pupils and students explored “This is My Place” – the theme of this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week, encouraging pupils and students to reflect on their own roles in creating safe, supportive environments.

Our Ambassadors also took part in an interactive workshop, exploring ideas to strengthen their identity as Ambassadors when representing their school or college and how they can get involved at our Annual Safeguarding Conference.

We’re incredibly proud of all our Student Safeguarding Ambassadors and grateful for the amazing work they do across the Trust, championing safety, well-being and student voice.
