Festive Fun at Wallington Festival and Christmas Shopping Event
Old Town Hall threw open its doors to the local community on Friday 28th November for the annual Wallington Festival. They were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Sutton Councillor Louise Phelan who spent time talking to stall holders and members of the public.
Students and staff sold refreshments and enticed shoppers to buy the amazing products they have made as part of their enterprise project this term. Independent stall holders crammed the classrooms and corridors as shoppers searched for Christmas gifts.
Families queued out of the door for a chance to visit Santa’s Grotto and let Father Christmas know what they are hoping to find under the Christmas tree this year.
There were also choirs who entertained the crowds from the steps of Old Town Hall, before the switching on of the Christmas lights.
It was a lovely festive event where the College welcomes the local community into the College Centre marking the start of the Christmas season in the area.
