Gold Duke of Edingburgh award expedition at Seven Sisters

We are incredibly proud of our five Gold Award students who have also undertaken a four-day expedition as part of their Gold Award. These students demonstrated immense dedication, resilience, and hard work as they undertook a four-day walk from Seaford, through the Seven Sisters, and ending in Eastbourne. This journey included overnight camping, route planning, and regular weather checks.

Additionally, the students assessed the accessibility of the route for future peers pursuing the Gold Award. They concluded that the route was not very accessible for students who use wheelchairs and devised an alternative, more inclusive route.
We are so proud of all our students for their hard work and determination to complete these challenging awards. We look forward to our Gold Award students celebrating their achievements next spring at St James’s Palace or Buckingham Palace.
