Junk Art Workshop

Ochi, an independent artist and photographer joined Oxford Circus class at VPC for a Junk Art workshop.  An exciting array of junk had been collected in advance of the session, so students had lots of choice of non-traditional art utensils, including; bicycle wheels and chains, old vinyl records and other bits and pieces that made perfect stencils.

Students were encouraged to get creative with the junk and using colourful paints created some high contrast imagery through spraying, stenciling and rolling techniques.

The project excited and motivated students to explore new materials and work creativity and independently.  One student said: I love this , it is so much fun!”

As a result of outstanding teaching, over time students make excellent progress and develop the knowledge and skills they need to achieve their goals.
