Kingston’s Got Talent!

What a fulfilled day we had when OHC Beaconsfield and Kingston MENCAP got together to showcase their amazing talents.

The audience was wowed by; dance routines, solo singing performances, a band, a comedian and even a dancing penguin! Performers were out to impress the judging panel – the Mayor of Kingston, Councilor Margaret Thompson and Caroline Allen OBE, Principal and CEO of Orchard Hill College. All acts were awarded perfect 10s from the judges. It really was a variety show and there was so much talent to celebrate. All of the dances were super energetic and coordinated and everyone made a huge effort with their costumes and decorations.

Caroline Allen received a bouquet from students in recognition of her retirement after 32 years at OHC. She was also serenaded by a staff band with their rendition of “Sweet Caroline”.

It was the perfect way to spend an afternoon and also proved that Kingston really does have talent!

Well done to all involved.

As a result of outstanding teaching, over time students make excellent progress and develop the knowledge and skills they need to achieve their goals.
