Let’s Dance at Pop Brixton

People First and Disability Lambeth have teamed up and created “Let’s Dance” at Pop Brixton. This is a project which focuses on supporting and engaging the community. A representative from Disability Lambeth said “One of the aims of Let’s Dance is for people with learning difficulties to mix in with people who don’t have learning difficulties.”

Students from Lomond House have been accessing this dance group and it has been a great success!

John, a student, has really enjoyed the group; He was fully engaged throughout the whole session and was able to express his enjoyment through an Object of Reference, his facial expressions and body language.

Learning Support Assistant, Maria said “it was so nice to see John so relaxed in his surroundings and enjoying himself so much! We will definitely be coming back again!” he” Maria, LSA

The session is every second Monday of the month, between 1.45pm to 3pm. Everyone is very welcome to come and dance! For more information click here:

As a result of outstanding teaching, over time students make excellent progress and develop the knowledge and skills they need to achieve their goals.
