OHC making it possible for Joseph to access his local community!
One of our students from VPC is now able to access his local community safely and with social restrictions in place. Staff are meeting Joseph at home, walking to his local park and engaging in a health and wellbeing session. Joseph is even able to show them a shortcut on the way home!
By accessing the community safely, Joseph will be able to visit a number of new places and increase his health and wellbeing during a difficult time.
His Lecturer, Scott Hawker said “Joseph has shown such resilience and determination to carry on accessing his health and wellbeing sessions even during these difficult times. Nicole and Florin are able to meet Joseph at his home twice a week where he is always ready with his coat, bag and a huge smile on his face. All staff members are so proud of Joseph and can’t wait until he’s back in the classroom with his friends”
Susan, Joseph’s mum said “The college have been amazing since we have been at home and they’ve really helped with our day to day life. Joseph’s lecturer has been in contact daily and has sent over learning resources and activities for Joseph to complete at home. I am so thankful for Nicole and Florin supporting Joseph on his health and wellbeing sensory walks. Thank you Orchard Hill College.”
