Orchard Hill College students build skills and confidence at Legacy Youth Zone

Students from Orchard Hill College’s Sutton region are benefiting from weekly visits to Legacy Youth Zone, where they take part in a wide range of engaging activities every Monday. The sessions combine practical skill‑building with social opportunities, giving students both qualifications and confidence.

Each week, students take part in a variety of hands‑on sessions including hairdressing, digital skills, arts and crafts, football, basketball, catering and DJ skills.

Alongside having fun and making friends, students are working towards qualifications, helping them develop recognised skills that will support their future education, training and employment pathways. Students are developing independence, teamwork and pride in their achievements.

For many, Mondays have become a highlight of the week, a place to develop talents, gain qualifications and have fun with friends.
