Orchard Hill College welcomes Government visitors to Sutton Life Centre
We were delighted to welcome visitors from the Department for Education and the Department for Work and Pensions to Orchard Hill College and our community hub at Sutton Life Centre last week.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity for guests to meet our dedicated staff and inspiring students, and to learn more about the inclusive, student-centred approach that underpins everything we do at the College. Visitors were given a tour of our excellent facilities, showcasing the wide range of opportunities available to support students’ learning, independence and future aspirations.
A highlight of the visit was lunch at our brand-new Community Blend café, where guests enjoyed food prepared and served by our students. The café plays an important role in developing students’ practical skills, confidence and real-world experience in a supportive environment.
We were also particularly proud to see two of our students take the lead as part of their Education Unfiltered podcast series. They interviewed our visitors, asking insightful and thought-provoking questions, and demonstrating impressive confidence and strong communication skills.
