Southwark learners recognised in two days of celebrations

Learners from across Orchard Hill College’s Southwark region were recognised for their achievements during two special Awards Ceremonies held at Cherry Gardens and at Lomond House and Camberwell Road.

Originally planned to take place at an external venue, this year’s celebrations were moved into the schools after temperatures reached an incredible 36°C. While the location changed, the atmosphere certainly didn’t, with learners, carers and staff coming together across both days to celebrate another fantastic year.

The ceremonies recognised the hard work, resilience and personal achievements of learners from across the Southwark region. Throughout the year, students have developed new skills, grown in confidence and independence, achieved qualifications and worked towards their individual goals, with every learner’s progress celebrated.

Award winners were recognised for their outstanding achievements and positive contributions to college life. Although the soaring temperatures meant a change of plans, the events remained a memorable opportunity to reflect on everything learners have accomplished and the strong sense of community that exists across the Southwark region.

Congratulations to all of this year’s award winners and to every learner for the determination and enthusiasm they have shown throughout the year. We look forward to seeing what they achieve next.
