Student teaching Makaton to his peers

Daniel has always shown an interest in Makaton. During a trip to Vauxhall City Farm he taught the whole class (and all the staff!) the Makaton signs for all the animals! He also taught them the sign for Policeman.

Everyone was so impressed with his passion and knowledge of the farm animals. It really benefitted the students by teaching them new signs and skills.

His lecturer said “It is really impressive to see Daniels knowledge of Makaton and was great for everyone to learn new signs! Brilliant work Daniel!”

As a result of outstanding teaching, over time students make excellent progress and develop the knowledge and skills they need to achieve their goals.
