Here are some useful links to other home learning websites you can visit:

Blockly games – Computer science; majority of tasks focus on basic programming skills

Twinkl – A range of subject areas. Specific SEN section. Use the code UKTWINKLHELPS Easy to sign up, follow the links. Worksheets are printable.

Scratch – Art, music and creating stories

Duolingo – Languages broken down so learning languages can be done in stages, comparable to apps that you have to pay for but it is free. A wide range of languages available to learn, including one from Game of Thrones!

British Council – English language. The site is for learning to speak English as a second language. There is an exam that can be registered for (please check if this incurs payment as Orchard Hill College cannot be responsible should this option be selected).

Blue Peter Badges – For fans of the programme. All to do with the programme, pictures, competitions etc. A fan based programme.

BBC Learning – Subjects are separated well and the information is interesting. Good videos are attached to each subject.

iDEA – Digital Enterprise Awards Scheme. You need to have an account to access the website. However the awards itself are very accessible and attractive to earn. It is also industry recognised and can be used on any device.

Ted Ed – This website offers a lot of free, creative and interactive videos and activities including multiple choice questions linked to the videos.

Open Learn – A variety of free short courses which can take as little as a few hours to complete.

Crash Course Kids – This is a collection of You Tube videos with focus on science. They are fun to watch and good for visual learners.

RedTedArt – Art resources and fun art and craft website full of ideas for themed art, such as Mother’s Day, Easter and much more.

Crash Course – Suitable for Level 2 students and up. This a series of YouTube videos focusing on subjects such as history, biology, psychology, ecology etc.

Tinkercad – IT based with a heavy accent on design. A free, easy to use app for 3D design, electronics and coding.

Big History Project – Universe, the world Secondary age Looking at the past, present and future.

All in One Home School – Students will develop their logical thinking skills while engaged in fun games.

BBC – Live lessons and Bitesieze lessons. Also consider BBC iplayer, BBC sounds, bitesize, BBC4, BBC red button for extra educational programmes.

P.E. with Joe – Joe Wicks is holding online PE sessions for the nation’s children. Monday to Friday, 9am live on YouTube.
