Freedom Pass  A Freedom Pass is provided by your local borough councils to give older and disabled Londoners free travel on almost all public transport in London. If you live in London and you have a disability you could be entitled to a Freedom Pass. Click here for more information or to apply.

18+ Student Oyster cards  The scheme allows you to get 30% off the price of adult rate Travelcards and Bus & Tram Pass season tickets if you live within greater London. NUS (National Union of Students) The College is registered with NUS so students can apply for NUS cards to receive discounts. To apply go to the website below. Orchard Hill College will appear on the drop down list for ‘Place of Study’. http://www.nus.org.uk/en/nus-extra/

Childline: www.childline.org.uk Free phone number: 0800 1111 National organisation offering online support and telephone support to young people in distress. Top Tip: If you do not get along with the person you speak to over the phone, hang up and re-dial- they don’t mind.

Samaritans: www.samaritans.org.uk call free any time, from any phone on 116 123. National organisation which offers 24 hour telephone and face to face emotional support to people in distress. Website offers useful information pages about different mental health difficulties.

Young Minds: www.youngminds.org.uk Young Minds promotes mental health issues within young people. A wealth of information about different mental health issues which affect young people. A range of information and leaflets can be downloaded
