VIP Guests!

This week VPC were thrilled to welcome Rebecca Kennelly MBE, Executive Director of UK Operations for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) and Hannah Monks the Operations Officer (London). Rebecca and Hannah were keen to meet with some of our inspirational young people who have been working hard to achieve their DofE awards. Our students welcomed their special guests with an impressive homemade cake for them to enjoy and also shared their experiences of how they have found the DofE and also challenges that they may have faced along the way.

Over the last few years, the college has increased our delivery of the DofE and are now offering opportunities across the college through holding a multi-site license. Rebecca and Hannah were pleased with the progress that the college has made and are keen to share this with other provisions to enable more students to access the Awards.

As a result of outstanding teaching, over time students make excellent progress and develop the knowledge and skills they need to achieve their goals.
